7 artists are confront the duration of a show to the pride, the envy, the avarice, the lust, the greed, the anger and the laziness. Seven capital sins that inspire inventive circus numbers using the juggling and the acrobatics, integrating numbers of pole, cord, thread, german wheel or rebound balls.
A
universal theme for a intimist show and a great concentrate of emotions
Talented artists have been brought together around Michel Arias - juggler and acrobat, member of the Cirque Baroque since more than a decade, and initaitor of the project - six young women of various horizons extremely motivated by this original project.
Laure Monot : Acrobat, trained from a young age to, moves around with ease on most aerial apparati, member of the Cirque Baroque since 1999. French woman.

This creation of today's circus will keep the traditional values of circus and yet bring a very bizarre universe based on the osmosis between the artists, the direction and the original subject from the world of circus, while profound human connotations will create the conditions for a really unique show.
" The new mysteries of Paris "
The scene is situated between the end of 19th and the end of 20th century in Paris, in the apartment, perhaps the particular hotel, of a couple of the middle class or old decadent nobility.
The family cell is composed of Sir, beautiful man of 35 years, that has made very young a beautiful marriage with a delightful woman, but whose union having rather badly turned (largely due to the fact of the birth of a girl and not of a heir, badly girl arrival and that more is, suffered of mental troubles near of autism) is devoted increasingly to a life of reveller and frequent places of pleasure. Mrs., five years younger than her spouse, believer to have found the great love and fort disappointed of the behaviour of her spouse, flees in the hope - always disappointed – of a second susceptible birth to return the joy and the balance in her couple. Miss, fifteen years, but remained to the stage of the childhood by disgust of the existence, never leaves the house, prisoner of an imaginary world in the confined universe of her bedroom. Finally, cares of household are insured by a good youth, arrival very early of her native Brittany, appearance in the household servitude and accustomed to question God in order that He liberates her from her condition.
This evening there, we discover these four celebrities in the great lounge. While Sir readies for one of his customary become nocturnal exits, Mrs. attends to works of knit without ceasing resumed in estimate of a hypothetical birth and Miss converses with her doll before getting her hair done by the maid for her lie down. Sir, alone ability to use the radio, " heats " by preparing his nocturnal escapade before to salute his wife with contempt, to send his girl with a peremptory manner to her bedroom and to leave after that the maid had helped him to dress.
In his absence, Mrs. continuous her work while crooning sadly, while the maid books to her daily tasks. They have to remain woke in the wait of the return of Sir, often accompanied by companions of feast that will perhaps be feeding and watering at their arrival.
The maid escapes nevertheless, as well often, to question God, in hide-out in the small chapel of Mrs. in order that he comes to give her some assistance. Miss, for her share, is in her bedroom where she makes her favourite activity that is to coat her unique dress by dreaming that she stroll in the external world.
In the middle of the night, Sir comes back with two womanly youths met in a mediocre pleasure place, bar or night club and with a musician, pianist of bar without doubt. The promise of a mad well watered night and perhaps for these Misses - knowing probably already Sir - the hope to seduce him to take the place of the forsaken wife, have behaved these night owls to accept the invitation to supper.
At their arrival, Sir makes honours of his cellar by producing a lot of bottles. Then, he makes reprehensible practices against Mrs., both to well show that he is the master and to excite the imagination of his guests. The musician is installed to the piano and punctuates with a grotesque manner, by resuming themes to the mode, the " exploits " of Sir.
Then, one of the young persons plays for him a great number of seduction, soon imitated by her friend that undertakes even a real striptease, it is without doubting her trade ! At one moment of this big feast, the maid, arrival to bring to drink, is taken to part by guests and constraint to undertake to her tour a strong entertaining striptease for the assistance.
In that time, the young girl, whose maid had omitted to push the latch of the door of her bedroom, bursts in. Her appearance provokes a shock among the assistance and her spirit, to the view of this scene of debauchery to which the maid and her parents are found mixed, undergoes it also.
After having tempted to escape this unbearable situation by the dream to her customary manner, she questions finally her father, to his great stupefaction, because this are her first public words, then even that one thought she was in the incapacity to speak.
The father becomes then in a violent anger, destroying a part of the furniture, before to undergo the shock of this intervention. He is while completely sober up, he realizes the vanity of his behaviour and all the extent of his attachment towards his wife. His wife is going then to remind him, with an infinite delicacy, the quality of her sentiments to his sake, returning him then totally in her curvy.
At this instant, the housemaid, in the course of a ultimate prayer, is going to discover perchance and as by miracle a huge secretive pile in the “campanile”. She decides then to appropriate it to leave this residence curst in company of her new friends, the two young women and the musician. Sir having tempted to oppose to this project, ensues a violent quarrels between him and the three young women. In the middle of this quarrel, Miss reappears and announces that she leaves the family residence by abandoning all what belonged her ancient life, asserting thus her desire of total emancipation.
Every one will have understood that during this evening, the totality of the seven capital sins will have been put to contribution.
This scene, that seems directly exit from a novel of Eugène Sue, has never been conversed to be presented in a theatre and, to the day of today that would be without lacking in doubt interest : The mode in this area having well evolved ! !
We thought absolutely that’s it could be fascinating to show it in a circus language purely visual, perfectly able to express the palette of all the present sentiments and especially able to create emotions going very more of what one would wait from the perusal of a novel to the water of rose or its theatrical representation.
